Canfield Scout Troop 25 conducts Court of Honor
Scouts of Canfield Scout Troops 9025 and 8025 at the Canfield United Methodist Church were awarded their ranks at the Fall Court of Honor in a joint ceremony. Rising to the Scout Award rank from the Boy’s Troop 9025 were Aiden Kerns, Alexander Bort, Andrew Beatty, and in the Girls Troop 8025 were Anna Kerns, Elizabeth Reed, Grace Henry. Emily Heino was recognized for Scout and Tenderfoot advancements from Troop 8025. Cade Henry was recognized for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class advancements and Noah Christoff was awarded the Life Scout Rank for Troop 9025. The event concluded with an Eagle Court of Honor for John Heino of Troop 9025.
Without summer camp this year, considerable work on personal accomplishments were completed through the Scout’s own initiative. Scouts were honored for learning about special topics as part of the merit badge program over the summer: Aidan Kerns – Totin’ Chip; Alexander Bort – Totin’ Chip, Public Health; Andrew Beatty – Totin’ Chip, Collections, Family Life, Albert Pacella – Radio; Evan McNally – Camping, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the Community, Cooking, Communications, Personal Management; Joshua Farley – Camping, Citizenship in the World, Cooking, Communications, Family Life, Fingerprinting, Personal Fitness, Plant Science; Noah Christoff – Citizenship in the Community, Home Repairs, Personal Fitness and Personal Management.
The Scouting program of Troop 25 offers the opportunity for learning life skills. Meetings continue virtually and/or in person on a weekly basis with separate meetings for boys and girls who are 11 or have completed the 5th grade through 17 years old. Meetings take place every Wednesday at 7:00pm at Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St. in Canfield or virtually based on conditions.
