Canfield Boy Scout Troop 25 announces new home
New adventures are ahead for Scouts BSA Boys Troop 9025, Girls Troop 8025 and Cub Scout Pack 25 as they move their meetings to Tuesday evening at Canfield Presbyterian Church starting November 1, 2022.
“Troop 25 has worked tirelessly over the past year to ensure the continuation of the 96 year old Boy Scout program,” says Scoutmaster Donald Duda. “This change allows us to relocate where we can align with multiple youth programs and have visibility within the community to ensure youth are aware of all that Scouting offers.”
Both Boys and Girls troops will make the move to ensure continuity between the troops and offer opportunities for girls in the Scouts BSA program just as their brothers have.
Scouting offers youth Kindergarten to 18 years old opportunities to learn leadership, self reliance, and confidence through outdoor skills training and citizenship experiences. Weekly Troop, and bi-weekly Pack meetings introduce skills which are put into practice during monthly camp outs and outdoor experiences. The programs operate year round, with a week of Summer Camp, and several extended weekend adventures.
Scouting teaches civic values, self reliance, and leadership in an outdoor environment. All while the youth challenge themselves to earn rank advancement through to becoming an Eagle Scout should they fulfill the requirements as outlined in the Scouting program.
Meetings at the Canfield Presbyterian Church will start November 1 every Tuesday at 7pm for both troops. Cub Scout Pack 25 will also meet on Tuesdays starting at 6:15. Canfield Presbyterian Church is located on SR 224 across from the Middle School entrance at 140 W Main St. Canfield, OH 44406.
